Job Description

Role Overview
 
Reporting to the Manager, Product, the Product Manager will be accountable for the roadmap of capabilities that will help the company scale our SaaS platform across all of our end users: corporate partners, academic partners and learners. The role will be responsible for defining and developing scalable features to meet the needs of our rapidly growing customer base. The ideal candidate will be able to seamlessly collaborate across product lines and partners and is passionate about building solutions to help our business grow.
 
Responsibilities
  • Accountable for a one-year roadmap of features and capabilities to ensure a scalable and high-quality SaaS offering for customers
  • Prioritize the backlog based on market demand for new and innovative capabilities around partner needs
  • Work with engineering counterparts on backlog grooming, estimations, sprint planning, and ongoing development to ensure each sprint moves forward at its best velocity
  • Ownership and oversight of the successful release of new features with cross-functional alignment, sound user acceptance testing plans, and timely communication to all partners
  • Partner with the onboarding and customer success teams to ensure proper triage, review, and prioritization of feature/bug requests from internal and external partners
  • Analyze business data to identify insights, trends and develop recommendations in order to make more informed decisions
  • Understand the market
  • Find ways to constantly improve processes across product/tech and key team members
  • Build a culture of trust, credibility, and collaboration
Ideal Profile
  • You are a motivated product manager who takes pride in delivering experiences that delight users and in developing capabilities that change how InStride delivers value. 
  • 3+ years in product management or similar positions
  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience 
  • Knowledge of agile software development practices and experience crafting epics, user stories, and coordinating an agile process
  • Proven success in the full lifecycle of product management from visioning through launch and iterating beyond an MVP
  • Proficient in balancing product priorities, resources, and timelines across multiple partners
  • Knowledge and understanding of how to partner with research and design
  • Ability to sell the “big picture” strategy while also rolling up your sleeves and providing detailed guidance on individual projects
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with engineering, design, marketing and business teams using storytelling, data, visualizations and/or examples
  • Promote collaboration with partners e.g. with universities, corporate clients, and the team
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience of product prioritization and strategy frameworks such as RICE and/or jobs-to-be-done (JTBD)
