The Opportunity Workplace Services Sales & Field Enablement is seeking an experienced Microsoft Power Platform contractor to support the design, development, and implementation of a centralized intake management solution. The contractor will partner closely with Workplace Services business stakeholders to translate business requirements into a scalable, user-friendly solution using Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Microsoft 365 technologies. This role will focus on delivering a maintainable solution that streamlines intake, routing, tracking, and reporting while enabling internal teams to independently support and enhance the application following implementation. The engagement requires a consultative approach, balancing technical expertise with strong collaboration skills and the ability to guide business stakeholders through design decisions, technical considerations, and best practices.
What You'll Do The Power Platform Contractor will lead the design, configuration, development, testing, and deployment of a Power Platform-based intake solution supporting Workplace Services. The contractor will work closely with business owners to understand requirements, recommend solutions, execute development activities, and transfer knowledge throughout the engagement. Strategy & Solution Design • Partner with Workplace Services stakeholders to assess current-state processes and intake workflows. • Facilitate discovery sessions to gather, validate, and refine business requirements. • Recommend scalable Power Platform architecture and design approaches. • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation and workflow optimization. • Advise stakeholders on governance, security, accessibility, maintainability, and support considerations. • Develop solution designs aligned with enterprise standards and business objectives.
Application Development • Design and develop Power Apps solutions using Microsoft Power Platform technologies. • Configure and customize Power Apps forms, user interfaces, navigation, and business logic. • Build dynamic forms using conditional visibility, validation logic, and automated workflows. • Configure and manage Microsoft Lists and SharePoint Online data structures. • Implement role-based access and security controls as required. • Develop reusable components and scalable configurations that support future enhancements.
Workflow Automation & Integration • Design and implement Power Automate workflows supporting intake routing, notifications, assignments, reminders, and status updates. • Configure integrations between Power Apps, Microsoft Lists, SharePoint Online, and other approved Microsoft 365 services. • Incorporate error handling and monitoring processes into workflow design. • Support operational reporting and future analytics requirements through thoughtful data architecture.
Testing, Deployment & Support • Conduct system testing and support user acceptance testing activities. • Troubleshoot and resolve defects identified during testing. • Support deployment planning, production readiness, and implementation activities. • Provide an agreed post-launch stabilization period. • Document technical configurations, workflow processes, and administrative procedures. Knowledge Transfer & Collaboration • Operate using a build-with approach that enables internal team members to learn alongside development activities. • Provide ongoing coaching and consultation to project stakeholders. • Deliver administrator training and knowledge transfer sessions. • Create documentation that enables long-term internal ownership and support. • Partner effectively with Workplace Services, Sales & Field Enablement, technology partners, and governance teams.
Required Qualifications • Five or more years of experience designing and developing solutions using Microsoft Power Platform. • Demonstrated expertise with Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Microsoft Lists, SharePoint Online, and Microsoft 365. • Experience building custom workflow, intake, request-management, or case-management solutions. • Strong understanding of Power Platform governance and development best practices. • Experience translating business requirements into practical technical solutions. • Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder-management skills. • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences. • Proven ability to independently organize work, manage priorities, and deliver quality outcomes. • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities. • High attention to detail, responsiveness, and commitment to maintainable solutions.
Preferred Qualifications • Experience working within large enterprise environments. • Experience supporting financial services or another regulated industry. • Familiarity with Power Platform Center of Excellence concepts and governance frameworks. • Experience creating technical, administrator, and end-user documentation. • Experience delivering training and knowledge transfer sessions. • Relevant Microsoft Power Platform certifications.
