Job Description

Job Title: Portfolio Transformation Manager
Duration: 6 months
Location: Remote from NY and Phoenix, AZ

Summary:
Within the Technology Portfolio Management team, we seek a skilled Portfolio Management Process Manager to join our team on a contractual basis. The ideal candidate will have expertise in process assessment and experience conducting analyses to determine current and target state exercises. This role will report directly to the Director of Portfolio Optimization and will play a key role in developing comprehensive assessments and strategic roadmaps for our technology portfolio management.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Process Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of current processes, focusing on reporting, communications, and tools used in technology portfolio management.
  • Documentation: Document customer needs and objectives to ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Define Transition Points: Work with the Director of PM to define the Point of Departure (POD) Clearly, Point of Next (PON), and Point of Arrival (POA) for our portfolio management processes.
  • Gap Analysis: Identify and document gaps in current reporting and analytics capabilities compared to what is needed to run portfolio management processes and effectively meet customer needs.
  • Strategic Recommendations: Work with the Director of PM and provide strategic recommendations for the PON & POA based on thorough analysis and industry benchmarks.
  • Roadmap Development: Work with the PM Director. Propose a detailed roadmap to achieve the PON & POA, outlining necessary steps and timelines.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 8 years in process assessment and management, particularly in technology or business contexts. Prior consulting experience is highly valued.
  • Proven experience in process assessment, particularly in a technology or business context.
  • Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to assess complex processes and define strategic improvement points.
  • Experience in documenting and analyzing customer needs and translating them into actionable plans.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in portfolio management and technology operations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior management and cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to deliver comprehensive reports and presentations to stakeholders and executive teams.
