Job Description

The Oracle HCM Technical Administrator is responsible for supporting and maintaining the Human Resource ecosystem, which is running on the Oracle Human Capital Management (HCM) Cloud. This role involves engaging with stakeholders to gather and document requirements, coordinating Oracle Cumulative Weekly Bundle (CWB), quarterly releases/maintenance, Test to Test (T2T) and Production to Test (P2T) refreshes, setting up and rebuilding Oracle HCM environments, performing data/configuration object migrations, executing data scramble procedures, configuring integrations, updating technical documentation, defining environment strategy in partnership with all stakeholders, and coordinating maintenance activities such as break-fix releases, systems validation, certificate renewals, and independently troubleshooting and resolving intricate issues.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Manage, schedule, and coordinate Oracle Cumulative Weekly Bundle (CWB), quarterly releases/maintenances, Test to Test (T2T) and Production to Test (P2T) refreshes, and other Oracle planned maintenance and outages.
  • Perform post-refresh activities, end-to-end environment system validations, data/configuration object migrations, data scrambling, and integration setup in HCM Cloud environments.
  • Support testing efforts such as SIT/QA, UAT, Performance, and Vendor integration testing in Oracle HCM environments.
  • Triage and troubleshoot application/environment issues. Coordinate with Oracle on service request creation and follow-up until resolution.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Support after-business hours releases/deployments as needed.

Job Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, CIS, or a related field and a minimum of three (3) years of experience in software development or a related field. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, equivalent work experience of three (3) years may be substituted for a total of six (6) years of experience.
  • 2+ years of Oracle HCM Cloud hands-on technical administration experience with cross-functional module knowledge such as Core HR, Payroll, Benefits, Absence, Compensation, and Time & Labor.
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle database SQL querying, HCM extracts, Fast Formulas, and HCM data-loading tools like HDL, PBL, and other Spreadsheet loaders.
  • Knowledge of Encryption/Decryption processes for HCM Cloud inbound and outbound interfaces, and the HCM Cloud role-based security model.
  • Experience working with vendors on file transfers and configuring various file delivery methods from HCM Cloud.
  • Experience in Oracle Analytic Cloud (OACS) administration is a plus.

Additional Requirements:

  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and collaboration abilities.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and best practices (e.g. Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management).
  • Competency with Microsoft Office tools.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Oracle Global Human Resources Cloud certification or must obtain certification within 12 months from hire date.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in process automation using DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Ansible.
  • Experience working with JIRA.
