Job Title: Oracle Accounting Hub (AHCS) Technical SME Consultant Location: Chicago, IL - Hybrid Duration: 12 Months
Job Description We are seeking an experienced Oracle Accounting Hub (AHCS) Technical SME to support the design, development, integration, and implementation of a strategic Accounting Rules Engine and Oracle Cloud Finance GL platform. The consultant will be responsible for end-to-end integration architecture, source data ingestion, data transformation, interface development, reporting, performance optimization, and production support across Oracle Accounting Hub and related Oracle Cloud technologies. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Oracle Cloud integrations, data architecture, AHCS inbound interfaces, Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), OIC, APIs, and reporting solutions.
Key Responsibilities Integration Architecture & Development • Design and implement end-to-end integration architecture supporting Oracle Accounting Hub and Oracle Fusion applications. • Lead technical design and development activities across: o Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) o Oracle Integration Cloud(OIC) o REST/SOAP APIs o XML and JSON message structures o FBDI (File-Based Data Import) o File-based integrations o SQL and PL/SQL development o Python-based data processing and automation • Define integration patterns, security standards, and data exchange mechanisms between source systems and Oracle Cloud applications. • Collaborate with enterprise architecture, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure scalable and secure solutions.
Accounting Hub Data Integration • Design and develop source data ingestion frameworks for AHCS. • Define and implement source-to-target mappings and transformation logic. • Design accounting event and transaction data structures required by AHCS. • Develop, validate, and support Accounting Hub inbound interfaces. • Support onboarding of multiple source systems into Accounting Hub. • Ensure data quality, completeness, and reconciliation across integrated applications.
Data Model & Transformation Design • Design and optimize accounting and reconciliation data models. • Develop complex transformations using ODI,OIC, SQL, PL/SQL, and Python. • Create reusable integration components and best practices. • Analyze and resolve data integrity, processing, and performance issues. • Support large-volume transaction processing and data loading activities.
Troubleshooting & Production Support • Troubleshoot interface failures, data processing issues, and integration defects. • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions. • Monitor integration performance and recommend optimization opportunities. • Support SIT, UAT, cutover, go-live, and hypercare activities. • Create support documentation and operational procedures.
Reporting & Analytics • Design and develop operational and financial reports using: o Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI) o Oracle BI Publisher o Financial Data Intelligence (FDI) • Develop dashboards, reconciliation reports, exception reports, and ad hoc analytics. • Partner with Finance and Accounting teams to support reporting requirements.
Documentation & Governance • Prepare technical design documents, interface specifications, and deployment guides. • Support audit, compliance, and data governance requirements. • Participate in design reviews and technical architecture discussions. • Provide knowledge transfer to internal support and development teams. ________________________________________
Required Qualifications • 8+ years of Oracle Financials technical implementation experience. • 5+ years of hands-on Oracle Accounting Hub (AHCS) technical experience. • Strong experience with Oracle Cloud integration technologies and data architecture. • Proven experience designing and supporting Accounting Hub interfaces. • Strong expertise in: o Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) o Oracle Integration Cloud(OIC) o REST/SOAP APIs o XML o JSON o FBDI o SQL o PL/SQL o Python • Experience developing and supporting large-scale enterprise integrations. • Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills. • Experience working with Finance, Accounting, and business stakeholders. ________________________________________
Preferred Qualifications • Experience with Oracle Fusion ERP Cloud and Financials Cloud. • Experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC). • Banking or Financial Services industry experience. • Knowledge of accounting, reconciliation, and financial reporting processes. • Experience with cloud-based data warehouse and analytics solutions. • Understanding of audit, SOX, and regulatory compliance requirements. ________________________________________
