Job Title: Operations Analyst-I Duration: 3 months Location: Hybrid, San Francisco, CA
About the Role We're looking for a sharp, resourceful operator to embed with the Our Client's Commerce Platform growth team. This is not a slide-making role — you'll work directly on sales pipeline execution and merchant insights. You'll interact with merchants, analyze real data, and build scalable systems. Work is fast-paced and high-impact: from funnel analysis to merchant calls to outreach automation.
What You'll Do
Merchant outreach & discovery — Call/email merchants to gather feedback and surface pain points not visible in dashboards
Sales call analysis — Review recorded calls, tag patterns, and identify trends to improve positioning and objection handling
Outreach sequence building — Create and run email sequences using outreach tools (training provided)
Funnel analysis — Identify drop-offs in sales funnel and recommend improvements to conversion
Ad hoc operations — Fix manual bottlenecks and support fast execution across the team
What We're Looking For
Analytical & numerate — Comfortable with spreadsheets and interpreting funnel/data insights
Detail-oriented — Produces accurate, clean work
Self-driven — Works independently with minimal oversight
Strong communicator — Clear writing, phone conversations, and summarization skills
Comfortable with ambiguity — Adapts quickly to shifting priorities
Nice to Have
Sales ops, growth ops, BizOps, or consulting experience
Familiarity with Outreach, Salesloft, Apollo, Chorus, etc.
Exposure to SMB/merchant or restaurant ecosystems
Basic data analysis experience
Experience using AI tools (e.g., Claude)
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required (Business, Economics, Marketing, Statistics, Data Science, or related field)
Simplifying complex insights into actionable summaries
Clear internal communication and escalation
Operations & Tools
Quick learner of outreach platforms (Apollo, Outreach, Salesloft, etc.)
Experience with call tools (Gong, Chorus, etc.)
Familiarity with AI tools for productivity
Ability to build lightweight trackers/workflows
Requirements
1–3 years experience in analytical, operational, or customer-facing roles
Ability to manage independent workstreams
Hybrid availability in San Francisco office
Authorized to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship)
Reliable internet/phone for outreach
Willing to work across time zones when needed
Experience Qualifications Required
1–3 years in sales ops, growth ops, BizOps, consulting, or similar
Experience in outbound outreach (email/phone)
Ability to analyze data/process and provide recommendations
Experience presenting findings to non-technical stakeholders
Preferred
Marketplace/SaaS/SMB or merchant-focused experience
Experience building outreach sequences
Startup/consulting/BizOps background
Experience with qualitative research (interviews, win/loss analysis)
Use of AI tools in workflows
