  • Routing protocols: BGP, OSPF, static routing, route redistribution
  • Expert Linux networking — bridges, bonds (LACP/active-backup), namespaces, iptables/nftables, policy-based routing
  • Packet-path troubleshooting via tcpdump, Wireshark, OVS flow tracing
  • SR-IOV / hardware offload: VF/PF config, IOMMU, BIOS/firmware prerequisites for NIC passthrough

  • Spine-leaf / Clos fabric design principles
  • VXLAN overlay networking

OpenShift & Kubernetes Networking (including Virtualization)
  • OVN-Kubernetes architecture (NB/SB DBs, logical switches/routers, overlay vs. localnet)
  • UDN/CUDN for tenant network isolation; EVPN for L2/L3 extension across physical/virtual boundaries
  • Cross-cluster connectivity and multi-cluster service/pod reachability

  • MetalLB (BGP/L2), NetworkPolicy/AdminNetworkPolicy, eBPF-based Network Observability
  • VM networking: bridge vs. masquerade binding, hot-plug/multi-NIC, secondary attachments
  • Live migration architecture: VLAN/subnet design, bandwidth sizing, MTU/policy tuning
  • IPAM/MAC management: cloud-init NetworkData, secondary-network DHCP, KubeMacPool
  • VMware-to-OpenShift migration: vSphere DSwitch/NSX → NAD/localnet, IP/MAC preservation via MTV
  • End-to-end troubleshooting: virtio NIC → veth → bridge/OVS → overlay → physical uplink
