Training Period: Onsite in Herndon, VA (Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST)
Post-Training: Remote
Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM EST
Job Summary Client is seeking a highly experienced Network Engineer V with strong expertise in IP networking, routing protocols, and enterprise router platforms. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical knowledge, strong troubleshooting capabilities, and hands-on experience supporting large-scale network infrastructures.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 7+ years of industry experience in networking.
Strong IP networking fundamentals and advanced knowledge of IP protocols.
In-depth experience with routing protocols:
BGP
OSPF
Hands-on experience with Cisco router platforms:
37xx, 49xx, 65xx, 73xx, 76xx series
Associated supervisory and line cards
Strong network analysis and troubleshooting expertise.
Preferred Technical Expertise Experience with multiple of the following technologies and protocols:
DWDM
T1/DS1, DS3
SONET (OC3, OC48)
IEEE 802.2/3
802.1d (VLANs/STP)
IPv4 & IPv6
TCP (internals & flow control)
HSRP / GLBP
PIMv2
IGMP
LDP
TACACS
IPSEC & VPNs
NetFlow
DNS
HTTP
