Job Title: Onsite Medical Representative (OMR)
Location: Bristol, IN
Duration: 1 months (Potential for extension or conversion)

Shift Schedule - Donut M, T, Th, F12 pm - 10:30 pm 
Training - 1-2 weeks

OT - 10 hours

Position Overview:
The Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) team is committed to the safety and well-being of employees by providing resources, best practices, and safe environments to proactively manage workforce health and safety.
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Onsite Medical Representative (OMR) . The OMR will work closely with the WHS Site Manager, WHS Specialist, and occasionally the Injury Prevention Specialist (IPS).
The OMR will support onsite medical and safety operations, provide first aid, assess occupational and non-occupational injuries or illnesses, and promote health and wellness throughout the site. The role will also involve participating in safety meetings, case management reviews, new-hire engagement, and emergency response activities.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide first aid support and refer Associates to outside medical providers when necessary.
  • Assess and provide appropriate care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
  • Promote injury prevention through awareness, education, and proactive engagement.
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided to Associates.
  • Coordinate and maintain workers' compensation and return-to-work programs for work-related injuries.
  • Participate in weekly Associate safety committee meetings.
  • Participate in weekly case management review meetings as needed.
  • Greet and engage with new hires and Associates on a daily basis.
  • Engage with Associates and leadership on the operations floor to provide coaching regarding observed at-risk work habits.
  • Maintain daily activity logs and end-of-shift reports.
  • Maintain a clean working environment and ensure appropriate medical supply inventory is available.
  • Participate in training and certification activities for First Aid, CPR, and AED programs.
  • Maintain all required First Aid, CPR, and AED credentials.
  • Assist with random saliva drug testing protocols.
  • Maintain effective care delivery during emergencies and assist with emergency response activities at the site.
  • Support WHS and safety operations as needed.
  • Work flexible shifts, including days, nights, holidays, and weekends.
Physical Requirements:
  • Lift up to 49 pounds.
  • Frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
  • Stand and walk for up to 12 hours during a shift.
  • Work in environments where noise levels may vary.
  • Work in environments subject to variable temperatures and weather conditions, including outside loading areas.
  • Continuously climb and descend stairs at sites where stairs are present.
Certification Requirement:
Candidates who do not currently have an Adult First Aid, CPR, and AED certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross must obtain the required certification within 3 weeks of their start date.

Basic Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Current, valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved Emergency Cardiac Care (ECC) provider.
  • Must possess one of the following:
    • Current, valid Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification from the Department of Health or National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT); OR
    • Current, valid Paramedic certification from the Department of Health or NREMT.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certified to teach First Aid, CPR, and AED training through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience working with an industrial or workplace wellness program.
  • Experience managing musculoskeletal disorders, ergonomics, and body mechanics coaching.
  • Demonstrated experience with OSHA regulations and Workers' Compensation.
  • Proficiency with digital medical record keeping.
  • Military medical experience, including within the last year:
    • Combat Medic – U.S. Army
    • Field Medic – U.S. Army
    • Healthcare Specialist – U.S. Army
    • Hospital Corpsman – U.S. Navy
    • Aerospace Medical Service Technician – U.S. Air Force
