SERVICES TO BE PERFORMEDWere looking for an outstanding mechanical engineer drafter who combines superb technical and analytical capabilities with a demonstrated ability to get the right things done quickly and effectively. This person will be expected to lead a variety of tasks, developing 3D and 2D mechanical design and related analysis specifically for manufacturing GSE for payloads satellite systems in Siemens NX. The ideal candidate will have a foundation in mechanical engineering suited for both prototype and production level designs. He will be expected to work with a team of topnotch engineers and collaborate with multiple other spacecraft design and integration teams. He should be comfortable with a high degree of autonomy and relish the idea of solving problems that havent been solved at scale before.REQUIRED SKILLS BScMSc in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or equivalent 5 years of working in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience Knowledge of MCAD software 3D modeling and 2D drafting Experience with designing and drafting with NX Experience with prototyping and implementation Experience with production fixturing and tooling Experience in DFM and manufacturing process development. Experience with GDT and tolerance analysis Strong communication and writing skillsPREFERRED SKILLS Siemens Teamcenter PLM Experience in the design of complex mechanical products and equipment at volume Knowledge of Ansys Finite Element analysis tool 5 years of experience with development, test, deployment of aerospace systems Experience with specifyingjustifying margins and test sequences, and qualifying space systems Ability to lead interdisciplinary discussions between Hardware, Reliability, and Firmware teams to define and drive scope and clarity of work, and reach optimum system level tradeoffs Strong time and task management skills with consistent attention to detail Provides manufacturing decisionmaking information by calculating production, labor, and material costs reviewing production schedules estimating future requirements. Use of engineering project management software such as JIRA, Confluence, or other Agile tools
