Job Description

Job Title: CNC Programmer/ Mechanical Engineer III (MS Programmer)
Duration: 11 mos. w/option to convert 
Location: Seattle, WA (Hybrid)

 
The CNC Programmer role is expected to have a comprehensive understanding of all CNC machining and programming operations and will be tasked with receiving CAD files and generating programs, set up sheets and fixtures when needed. This role is tasked with working in close concert with machinists, leads, engineering teams, and machining operations management to increase productivity and optimizing machining programs and procedures.
 
Responsibilities
  • Use of Mastercam or NX CAM program to program CNC parts.
  • Simulate NC files inside of Vericut as well as maintain revision control on programs and setup sheets.
  • Knowledgeable of carbide tools and adjusting speed and feed parameters for maximum tool life.
  • Makes or offer suggestions on drawing changes to improve manufacturability.
  • Design and machine efficient fixture tooling.
  • Machine set up and operation.
  • Meets expectations for productivity and production goals.
  • Constantly keep products moving and alerting management when production is inhibited.
  • Provides consistent ideas for process improvements.
 
Basic Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
  • 8+ years of CNC programming experience (including Mastercam).
  • Ability to set up and operate 3 and 5 axis CNC Mills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Can keep digital archives organized Preferred Skills And Experience
  • 12+ years of CNC programming experience (including Mastercam).
  • Experience with programming and operating multi axis mill and lathe CNC machines.
  • Experience working with tool & die application with complex surfacing and contours.
  • Experience programming and operating Mill-Turn machines Additional Requirements
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs. unassisted.
  • Lifting, standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying are generally required to perform the functions of this position.
