Job Title: Materials Manager Location: Boston, MA Duration: 9 Months (Possibility of Extension) Daily Schedule: Normal M-F Business Hours
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Materials Planner responsible for demand, supply, inventory planning and tactical execution for warehouse robotics equipment.
Responsible to perform complex analyses to determine demand-supply gaps, safety stock levels, forecast calculations and identify inventory excess/obsolescence.
Responsible to partner with and influence procurement, manufacturing and logistics teams to optimize processes and solve business problems/risks.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Bachelor’s degree in business, Operations, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related field.
7+ years of experience in high volume manufacturing operations or sourcing environment.
7+ years of direct experience in supplier/supply chain management.
Global supply chain experience managing cross functional teams in a fast-paced consumer electronics product company.
Knowledge and experience with Continuous Improvement and Six Sigma methodologies.
Knowledge of manufacturing supply chain and operations industry.
Experience with Microsoft Excel, SQL and visualization tools.
Working knowledge of supply chain planning and execution concepts.
PREFERRED SKILLS
Master’s degree
Familiarity with world-class planning and forecasting methods and tools.
Exceptional ability to solve problems and coordinate with global team members.
Extensive negotiation experience with global suppliers with a proven track record in cost reduction.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Strong analytical skills and comfort pulling data and analyzing directly from databases (i.e. cost modeling, supply analysis).
Knowledge of Oracle ERP, Agile a plus.
