Position Title: Maintenance Technician Facilities Work Location: York, NE 68467 Assignment Duration: 2+ Months Work Schedule: Sunday -Saturday 6am-6:30pm with 2 on 3 off 3 on 2 off rotation Work Arrangement: On-site
Note: Exposure to common environmental allergens, such as pollen, dust, and other airborne particles.
Key Responsibilities:
Support plant operations.
Deliver maintenance support for capital projects.
Maintain condition of the plant shop and maintenance tools.
Support Process Safety Management and location safety efforts.
Conduct seasonal prep work including annual preventative maintenance, repairs, and improvements.
Assure proper set-up, calibration, operation, and preventative maintenance of equipment, machines, and facilities.
Complete grounds and facility maintenance as needed.
Utilize predictive maintenance tools to detect and prevent future machine failures.
Create, continually update, and train on preventative maintenance plans for various equipment.
Complete fabrication projects to improve plant processes.
Maintain detailed equipment records and prints.
Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
Valid driver’s license.
Comfortable working at heights above 25 feet with proper fall protection equipment.
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
Able and willing to work in physically demanding environments, including warehouses or areas with machinery, and lift up to 50 pounds safely.
Strong teamwork and safety-oriented mindset, willing to assist colleagues as needed.
Flexibility to work overtime, shift work, and weekends as required.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Knowledge of production agriculture and related machinery.
Basic understanding of building electrical systems.
Welding and/or millwright skills, particularly in the seed industry.
Familiarity with pneumatic and hydraulic systems and test equipment.
Basic process control knowledge.
Two or more years of technical, electrical, or mechanical education and/or industrial experience.
Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) or similar software for work orders and parts inventory (e.g., SAP).
Qualification & Experience:
Pass a background check and other pre-employment screenings.
Have reliable transportation to the site and be able to arrive at the work site as instructed.
Maintain enthusiasm, good attitude, honesty and a willingness to treat all with respect.
Ability to work long hours and rotational shifts, including over-time as needed.
Ability to communicate verbally and written.
Ability to lift, push, pull up to 60 pounds, work in and outdoors, walk on uneven surfaces
