Mainframe Developer/IBM Connex

Job Title: Mainframe Developer
Location: Toronto, ON (Remote)
Duration: 6 months with possible extension

We are searching for an IBM Connex expert to help support our current and replacement projects.

 

Some Specific Functions of This Role:

• Provide technical analysis of existing IBM Connex system which is being replaced by a vendor product.
• Help to document proprietary customization of existing system to communicate functions to vendor or other systems
• Aid in system changes for current system as required
• Work independently and with a team to focus on priority assignments.

 

Qualifications:

• In-depth knowledge of IBM Connex and mainframe
• 15 - 20 years of system design, analysis and programming experience with extensive business knowledge
• Strong assembler skills with the ability to read, code and document existing code base
• Strong analytical skills for complex problem solving
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
