Job Title: Java FSD Lead Location: Mount Laurel, NJ (3-4 days onsite) Duration: 9+ months
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Full Stack Lead (12+ years) with deep expertise across backend and frontend development. The ideal candidate must be strong in Java, modern UI frameworks (React or Angular with Redux), messaging systems such as Kafka/MQ, and DevOps tools like GitHub, Nexus, or Bitbucket. This is a hands-on leadership role involving architecture decisions, team management, code quality oversight, and end-to-end solution delivery.
Job description:
Lead and mentor a team of full-stack developers, ensuring high-quality delivery and adherence to best engineering practices.
Architect, design, and build scalable backend services using Java, microservices, and REST APIs.
Develop high-performance, responsive UI components using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and React or Angular with Redux.
Implement and support asynchronous messaging solutions using Kafka or MQ.
Define technical standards, review code, and guide the team in solving complex technical challenges.
Collaborate with architects, product managers, and cross-functional stakeholders to shape technical solutions.
Oversee integration pipelines and code repositories using GitHub / Bitbucket, dependency management via Nexus, and modern CI/CD practices.
Drive Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, estimations, and technical planning sessions.
Troubleshoot production issues and ensure application reliability, security, and scalability.
Contribute to architectural improvements, performance tuning, and optimization efforts.
Required Skills and Experience:
12+ years of experience in software development with strong backend + frontend exposure.
Expert-level proficiency in Java, object-oriented design, multithreading, collections, Spring / Spring Boot (if applicable).
Deep experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript ES6+
Hands-on experience with React or Angular, including Redux or similar state management libraries.
Strong knowledge of event-driven architectures using Kafka or enterprise MQ systems.
Experience with GitHub, Bitbucket, and artifact repositories like Nexus.
Strong understanding of microservices, REST APIs, integration patterns, and distributed systems.
Proven leadership experience managing technical teams and delivering complex projects.
Excellent communication, architectural reasoning, and stakeholder management skills.
