Job Description

Job Title: Java Architect
Duration: 6 Months with possible extension
Location: North York, ON (1-3 time onsite per month)
Start: ASAP

Must Have

Define Experience – What specific tasks will the candidate need to perform with each technology?
  • Large enterprise apps with high customer traffic
  • Performance high volume
  • Performance optimization
  • Java
  • Front dev portal built in house, any front end technologies, built apps with front end portals
  • Event Driven Architecture experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience
  • Extensive experience with Java frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, and Microservices.
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing large-scale, distributed, and event-driven systems, preferably in a retail or eCommerce environment.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles, including APIs, microservices, event-driven architectures, and cloud-native applications.
  • Experience with event-driven processing and handling in Java applications, particularly in scenarios involving real-time promotions and customer interactions.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies and frameworks, and how they integrate with back-end systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality, maintainable solutions.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
