Job Title: IT Project Manager Location: Toronto, ON Duration: 6 Months Remote or Onsite: Hybrid
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Project Manager to join our team. As an IT Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing various technology projects within our organization. Your responsibilities will include acting as a Scrum Master, facilitating the transition of our tech team to work in a Scrum framework, and providing program management for our Eliminate, Simplify, Automate program.
Responsibilities:
Act as a Scrum Master: Guide and coach the tech team in adopting and implementing Scrum principles and practices. Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Ensure the team adheres to Scrum processes and continuously improves their efficiency and effectiveness.
Transition the tech team to work in Scrum: Lead the transition of our tech team from traditional project management methodologies to the Scrum framework. Collaborate with stakeholders to define project goals, scope, and deliverables. Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets. Monitor project progress and ensure timely delivery of high-quality results.
Program management for the Eliminate, Simplify, Automate program: Oversee the implementation of the Eliminate, Simplify, Automate program, which aims to streamline and automate our business processes. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation. Develop and execute program plans, including resource allocation, risk management, and stakeholder communication. Monitor program performance and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience as an IT Project Manager, preferably in an Agile/Scrum environment.
Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of Scrum principles and practices, with the ability to guide and coach teams in their adoption.
Experience in transitioning teams from traditional project management methodologies to Agile/Scrum.
Demonstrated expertise in program management, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
Knowledge of process improvement methodologies and automation tools is a plus.
