Mobility, Surveillance & Bombers Industrial Engineering organization is seeking an Industrial Engineer to support the Electrical Mechanical Integration Center (EMIC) in Tukwila, WA.
In this role the Industrial Engineer will partner with Operations and functional support teams to build, modify, test and deliver the EMIC. With primary duties focused on executing committed statement of work and optimizing the production system, additional duties will include strategic studies, capability and capacity planning, budgeting and forecasting, capital asset management, evaluating and supporting new business proposals, coordinating work transfer and coordinating with internal customers and program management.
Required Skills:
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
5+ years’ experience working in an engineering discipline.
5+ years’ experience defining, developing, implementing, or improving production processes.
Preferred Skills:
Willingness to work in a fabrication/shop floor environment and adhere to safety requirements.
Experience utilizing Microsoft Office Applications.
Must be able to interact with employees to gather data for process improvements. This may include observing and documenting processes, and collecting data in manufacturing areas or in aircraft during various production phases.
Education/experience
Typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
