Job Description

Job Title: Full Stack Programmer IV
Location: Fremont CA (Remote)
Duration: 23+ Months
Remote role, preference will be given to those in PST.
Job Description:
Summary:

  • The main function of a full stack developer is to code for both front and back-end programming. The typical full stack developer will be able to design user interactions, and develop servers and databases for website functionality.
 
Job Responsibilities:
  • Design, code, test, document, implement, and maintain application programs and interfaces.
  • Devise or modify procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results.
  • Modify, install, and prepare technical documentation for system software applications.
  • Monitor systems capacity and performance, plan and execute disaster recovery procedures, and provide technical support.
  • Identify, escalate and document production impact issues.
  • Evaluate user requests for new or modified computer programs to determine feasibility, cost, time required and compatibility with current systems and capabilities.
  • Create full stack applications from scratch utilizing ReactJs, PHP/Hack
  • Create Python Applications eg Data swarm pipelines, automation libraries etc
 
Skills:
  • Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as needed to resolve issue.
  • Knowledge of computer hardware and software.
  • Knowledge of end-to-end systems development life cycles.
  • Knowledge of computer development software as it relates to systems, such as SQL, VisualBasic, etc.
  • Expertise with Reactjs, PHP, Hack
  • Expertise with Python and Web Applications
 
Education/Experience:
  • Masters degree in computer science preferred.
  • 7 - 10 years of experience
  • At least a bachelor's degree is required. Candidates with HS as the highest level of education will be DQ'd.
  • 7+ years of experience required.

  • ReactJS
  • PHP/Hack

Good to have skills:

  • Additional Responsibilities: Code review of peers and mentoring junior team members.
 
How Performance Will Be Measured:
  • Quarterly Assessment: Based on the completion of GSD projects, deliverables, and tasks.
Story Behind the Need – Business Group & Key Projects:
  • These are some of the P0 projects where we'll be making use of them to help our customers (shared in comments as well) PSAT Operates across multiple functions and we have roadmap planned out for multiple full stack applications, python applications etc (examples listed below)
1. FDM Ownership:
  • Description: Create end to end full stack web pages in FDM for Ports, switches which support facilities, data center networks etc.
  • Impact: Time savings of more than 2k manual hours to search, query data
2. Factop Management Modules:
 
  • Description: We plan to add Factop Management Modules to support crucial privacy and security related applications.
  • Impact: Advanced Data Center security, Savings in s by reducing use of ports and optimizing unwanted switches plugged into ports which can free up more than 10k-50k existing configurations.
3. BAM - Advanced Alerting Systems:
  • Description: We plan to add advanced alerting Systems for network and data center alarm notifications, provide auto remediation capability.
  • Impact: Reduces on-call load for more than 5 teams, saving at least 40 hours per week (2,080 hours annually). Also improves issue detection and resolution before they escalate to severe problems. This also helps in advanced alerting systems to mitigate issues and catch them before a SEV
4. Workflow Reliability and Process Automation across Facops, ENS etc.
  • Description: This tool helps the engineers to create their own tool to create workflows and support the existing ones.
  • Impact: Supports more than 200 workflows and 250 building blocks, saving over 20,000 hours annually.
