Position Title: Formulation Technician II (3rd shift) Work Location: Swiftwater PA 18370 Assignment Duration: 12 Months Work Arrangement: Onsite Shift Timings: 10PM to 6:30AM
Position Summary: • The Formulation Department’s role is to aseptically fill vaccines (syringes and vials). Included in this process is extensive preparation, cleaning rooms, cleaning equipment and material movement. • The daily activities can include vial and syringe handling (wiping large boxes and moving large boxes), loading/unloading production supplies.
Background & Context: This role supports vaccine manufacturing in a highly regulated aseptic environment following FDA guidelines.
Key Responsibilities: • Aseptically fill vaccines (syringes and vials) including extensive preparation, cleaning rooms, cleaning equipment and material movement. • Perform vial and syringe handling (wiping large boxes and moving large boxes), loading/unloading production supplies. • Maintain extensive documentation while following strict Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), Standard Work Instructions (SWI) and FDA guidelines. • Maintain good housekeeping of work area and public spaces. • Perform aseptic cleanings including preparation of disinfection solution, lifting 2-4 gallons of water, stretching to clean machines and ceilings while wearing additional PPE. • Track own training and only perform tasks qualified for. • Work safely, adhere to all personal protective equipment requirements, and follow reliability/flexibility expectations including possible overtime, weekends, and holidays.
Qualification & Experience: • Lift a minimum of 30 pounds, and be able to push and pull a minimum of 50 pounds. • Good reading and writing skills. Documentation is critical and a cGMP requirement. • Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures and Standard Work Instructions. • Able to stand for long periods of time and perform all physical requirements including reaching, twisting, bending, squatting, and repetitive motion. • Passing all exams and qualification tests (cGMP test and training modules). • Basic computer skills. • Must produce high quality work and work under tight deadlines while adhering to compliance rules and regulations. • Able to work in an ever changing, semi-fast paced environment.
