SUMMARY DESCRIPTION Performs deburr, finishing, inspection, and cleaning in a job shop or high volume applications. Processes components to meet print and or geometric tolerance requirements. Responsible for the setup, operation and maintenance of production equipment needed for deburr, finishing, and cleaning operations, maintenance of proper documentation, and support of the manufacturing engineering function.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. % WEIGHTING OF RESPONSIBILITY ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 20 Under close supervision, completes tasks as directed by SOPs, routers, prints, work instructions, and manufacturing schedules. 20 Under close supervision operates production equipment under needed for basic deburr, finishing, and cleaning operations such as sandpaper, scotch brite, pencil grinders, bead blasters, tumblers, and heat treat oven. 10 Performs packaging and other duties as required. 10 Performs in-process checks using measuring devices and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department lead person or supervisor. 10 Verifies conformance of finished work pieces to specifications using measuring instruments such as fixed gauges, calipers, and micrometers. 5 Adheres to dimensions and tolerances found on prints. May use prints and sketches to determine proper methods and processes when not specified on router or work instruction. 5 Reworks productions parts and performs emergency rework and/or modification of production parts as directed. 5 Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations. 5 Trains other employees. 5 Works on projects as part of a team, exchanging ideas and contributing skills that complement those of the other team members. Fulfills commitments to team members. 5 Recommends and implements process improvements with the support of management and the engineering department as required.
DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required for this position. • High School diploma or equivalent. • 0-2 years Manufacturing experience preferred.
