Job Description

Job Title: Financial Analyst
Location:  Irvine CA , 92614
Duration: 09+ Months

Summary:
Provide Finance & Accounting analysis, reporting and operational support to the Corporate Facilities department

Key Responsibilities:
• Partner with internal stakeholders & project managers for preparation and submittal of purchase requisitions, supplier quotes, and statements of work; ensure these expenditures are tracked, managed and within budget & forecasts objectives
• Collaborate with Corporate Accounts Payable and Corporate Finance groups on month-end close & monthly expense accrual journal entry preparation to ensure timely and accurate reporting
• Track purchase requisition and SOW expenditure to monthly & quarterly targets; perform meaningful month-end variance analyses and forecasts to communicate with leadership
• Maintain current operations budget model and track real-time actual spend for the department; find efficiencies within systems to optimize budget modelling accuracy
• Perform detailed analysis comparing year-to-date financials to annual operating plan and quarterly forecasts inclusive of spending, department headcount and capital expenditure targets
• Develop financial reports and presentations to support organizational decision making
• Collaborate with internal Procurement, Contracts, Risk Management, and Due Diligence groups for onboarding new suppliers, master services agreements and MSA renewals
• Develop tools to manage department’s active supplier contracts list; ensure internal stakeholders are made aware about upcoming expirations
• Proactively communicate with suppliers, external accounts receivable, municipal offices & utilities agencies to ensure billing is current and avoid disruption of services

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics or related field; minimum 4 years of previous related work experience
  • Strong background with Expense Tracking, Forecasting, Budget Modeling, FP&A planning, & Accounting experience
Additional Skills:
• Proven expertise in MS Office Suite, including proficient-to-advanced Excel experience
• Knowledge of Coupa , Qlik / QlikView &, and Power BI is prioritized
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills
• Ability to take ownership of projects and follow through on work to completion
• Deep critical thinking, and investigative skills; resourcefulness and curiosity to problem-solve
• Solid knowledge of financial concepts and principles and how to apply them within a business function
• Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
• Strict attention to detail, timeliness and accuracy
• Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
• Ability to work in a team environment, including intra-organizational groups supporting a larger department
• Competently represent the organization amongst internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to build productive working relationships within the organization
