Job Description

Job Title: Financial Analyst (Accounting Finance Tax Audit)
Location: Chicago, IL 60604 (Hybrid on Tuesday - Thursday)
Duration: 6 Months Assignment
Shift/Hours: 40 hours/ week, 8:00am - 5pm CST
 

Summary:
  • Provide support to 2Q 2024 regulatory quarterly filing for Single Counterparty Credit Limit (SCCL) reporting.
  • Support day to day reporting related to SCCL and other reporting as required for credit counterparty monitoring tasks (adherence to credit limits).
  • The person(s) will be responsible with facilitating the filing of regulatory reporting.
  • The person(s) will be assigned tasks to complete and would be expected to deliver on those tasks with limited oversight.
 Tasks & responsibilities:
  • The Regulatory Reporting Consultant will assist in the preparation and filing of client’s regulatory financial filings.
  • The primary responsibility will be the completion and submission of regulatory reporting filings for Client Corporation and The Client Company and ensuring compliance with rules and regulations established by the Federal Reserve, Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC), and other regulatory authorities.
  • As part of the regulatory reporting team you will have an opportunity to collaborate and build relationships with partners across the organization as you work to collect and analyze data required to complete regulatory reports.
  • You will also have an opportunity to assist in developing management reports and analytics as the organization transitions to a more data-centric reporting model.
  • You will have an opportunity to participate in quality control efforts to ensure information used and reported in regulatory reports is consistent with requirements, between reports and schedules, and with other internal and external reporting, as applicable.
  • You will also assist in enhancing and maintaining a robust internal control framework over regulatory reporting to ensure compliance with relevant rules and regulations.
  • Work with reconciliation and other teams to identify any adjustment items, review and document them for recommendation to senior management.
 Qualifications (Must Have’s):
  • In depth knowledge and expertise of Basel Capital reporting
  • In depth knowledge and expertise of Single Counterparty Credit Limit (SCCL) reporting
  • In depth knowledge and expertise in Capital Markets activities, specifically Foreign Exchange, Securities Financing Transactions.
  • Able to work in fast pace environment involving multiple teams/departments and meet hard deadlines
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field (e.g. Finance, Accounting, Economics, etc)
  • 3-7+ years of experience in financial services or a related industry, with a significant focus on financial or regulatory reporting, compliance, financial analysis or similar field.
  • Strong understanding of and experience in interpreting and implementing financial or regulatory reporting rules and regulations.
  • Comfortable working with large data sets and creating relevant reports / analytics.
  • Experience in designing / improving of internal control environment and driving data quality and process improvements.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to liaise with internal stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Experience in preparing and submitting regulatory reports a plus.
  • Back office experience, understanding of reconciliation breaks (failed trades, reconciliation mismatches, recalled wires etc.)
