Job Title - Field Technician IV Job Location – Sabine Pass, TX Job Duration – 12 Months
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday | 6:30 AM – 2:45 PM
Job Description: Responsibilities:
This position reports to the Client’s Safety and Health Supervisor
Support S&H Operations Readiness deliverables, e.g. Safety Refresh, IH Programs, FLS Safety Leadership, Human Performance, LSA, LMRA, JSA, etc., are both administratively complete, but also executable programs that include vendor support, associated supplies, training delivery, and other sustainable aspects of a working program.
Advise, coach and lead employees and other contractors to provide an excellent safety culture.
Conduct SSH&E orientations for individuals new to site or visiting.
Interface with staff from all departments in field and client contractors and subcontractors
Review and interface with contractor safety programs.
Review existing policies and procedures, and develop improvements as needed.
Implement Client’s SSH&E programs in the field, for example behavior-based safety, permit audits, lifesaving action checks, last minute risk assessments, toolbox talks, etc.
Provide coaching and support to all site operations.
Conduct hazard identification walks and assist in resolution of findings.
Track, analyze and report on safety metrics and recommend focus areas based on the analysis.
Lead and participate in incident investigations identifying root causes and corrective actions.
Promote site recognition and rewards programs.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Safety Technician or similar role
Degree or the equivalent field experience, in Occupational Safety and Health related field
Experience in lifting and rigging, crane operations, confined space, working at height, LEL environments.
Conduct data analysis and reporting of statistics with experience in producing reports.
Proficient in MS Office (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint Microsoft Forms and Power BI)
Organizational and time management skills
Self-driven and proactive
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to speak comfortably to large group.
OSHA 30 & OSHA 510 certification or better safety and health training
**Criteria/Conditions**
Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
Must be able to work in a potentially stressful environment.
Personal protective equipment is required when performing work at client’s facilities, including FRC, hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves, and any other protective equipment as required.
Client promotes a drug/alcohol-free work environment using mandatory pre-employment drug testing and on-going random drug testing as allowed by applicable state laws.
Requires the ability to walk extensively, climb stairs, and ladders throughout diverse work environments.
TWIC is also required.
Reliable transportation is also required and expected for commuting between pipeline locations.
