Title: Field Service Engineer Location: Plano, TX Duration: 6 Months (contract to perm)
As a Field Service Engineer, you are responsible for performing equipment commissioning, Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), on-site preventative maintenance, on-site equipment troubleshooting and repair, and customer training. When offsite, the Field Service Engineer provides remote support to clients, assists with in-house testing as needed, and prepares proposals for spare parts and field upgrades.

What You Will Do
Travel to customer site to perform equipment commissioning, Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), on-site preventative maintenance, on-site equipment troubleshooting and repair, and training for domestic and international customers.
Provide feedback to engineering, project management, and manufacturing on lessons learned.
Maintain detailed field service trip reports.
Work with engineering for drawing and software updates based on field service work performed or future trips.
Coordinate with customers on the procurement of spare parts and field upgrades
Provide after-market technical and sales support
Position Details
This is a remote position requiring the successful candidate to reside within one hour of a major airport. ??
The primary territory covers the entire United States, with a particular emphasis on the Eastern region
This role involves extensive weekday travel, with up to 75% of your time spent on overnight trips.
Rare but occasional international travel may be necessary
During your training program, you will be required to travel to Wastech Offices in Chatsworth, CA for ~8 weeks. The remaining weeks will be in-field training. Client will arrange and pay for your travel and certain travel-related expenses. You are responsible for having the proper documentation to fly such as a Real ID or other acceptable form of identification.?
Minimum Qualifications
BS in Electrical, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering
3 to 5 years relevant work experience, preferably in manufacturing
Familiarity with industrial process equipment
Working experience with AutoCAD, and the Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Familiarity with PLCs, HMIs, and electrical and mechanical troubleshooting
Valid driver's license with clean driving record
