Title - Facility Maintenance Technician
Location- East Liberty, OH 43319

Duration- 3 months
Shifts - 3pm-11:30 pm and  11pm- 7:30 am.


General Maintenance Technician

As the General Maintenance Technician, you’ll join a collaborative team ensuring that our clients can deliver their services – uninterrupted. Based in East Liberty, OH, you’ll complete required PM’s and repairs on the facility equipment.  In this role, you will have the ability to prioritize repairs based upon the production’s best interest.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
  • Performs preventive maintenance activities on facility following written instructions. PM activities include measurement of wear, replacement of expendables (i.e. belts, hoses, fluids, filters, etc.) and inspection/evaluation of operating characteristics such as speeds, pressures, vacuum, or vibration
  • Completes repairs including rebuilding of pumps, valves, electrical and pneumatic solenoid devices, and air handling equipment. Completes general building repairs, including repair of walls, doors, floors, etc. Completes repairs to plumbing system including fixing leaks and stoppages, repairs or replacement of sinks, piping, valves, drains and toilets. Repairs and maintains lighting systems throughout the plant and penthouses. Replaces lighting components, ceiling tiles, and ceiling grid throughout the buildings and offices
  • Must be able to complete PM and work order activity in CMMS.  Following guidance from MAP CMMS and Honda Leadership.
  • Keeps working area neat. Assists in keeping facility clean. 5S & COP.

Here’s what you’ll need:
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in facility/plant engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Driver’s license
  • HS diploma or GED equivalent; Vocational Tech, Trades School or Military Occupational Specialty preferred.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. 
  • Experience with the following types of equipment: HVAC, Air Compressors, Pump and Plumbing Maintenance, Basic Electrical and Mechanical Skills are required.
  • Candidates will possess an intermediate knowledge of computers and software.  Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Email.
  • Must have ability to work with basic mathematical concepts including the ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and solutions to practical situations. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Must have ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Understand business implications of decisions; treats people with respect; inspires the trust of others'; follows policies and procedures and supports organization's goals and values.
  • Associate must have experience and abide with OSHA guidelines including Lock-out/Tag-out and HAZCOM guidelines.  Ability to handle stressful situations and remain calm in the face of the customer and subordinates.
  • Ability to read and understand system blueprints, specifications, and performance data to determine configuration and purpose of system components.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:
The physical and environmental demands required to perform the essential duties of this position include standing, walking, sitting, coordination, balance and agility demands, which may include the ability to stoop, kneel, squat, grasp, reach, perform repetitive hand movements. Additional demands may involve a specific level of dexterity, grip strength, climbing and cardiorespiratory demands. The work areas may be indoor, outdoor, have loud noise, active machinery, high pressure fluid systems, electrical equipment, confined spaces, heights and depths, fumes, air borne particles, noxious gases, and chemicals.  The use of appropriate safety equipment will be mandatory in these areas to prevent hazardous contact.
