Job Description

Job Title: Facilities Manager
Location: West Union, SC
Duration: 12 Months
Shift Times: M-F: 7am-3:30pm
Overtime: As needed


Job Overview:
  • Location is a Battery Plant-acid batteries/car batteries
  • Exposure to lead-safety gear provided- need to be worn when entering specific areas/ certain length of time
  • Individual will be responsible for: Budgeting management, client interaction, leading monthly client meetings, facility walk though, interacting as face to face with Vendors, contractors, pre safety checks
  • Working with:
  • Compressed air and chillers
  • Industrial and Heavy duty manufacturing equipment
  • Big chillers and big HAVC units on an industrial level
Day to Day Responsibilities:
  • Develops and maintains positive relationships with clients. Attends client meetings.
  • Coordinates, oversees and/or manages repair and maintenance work assignments performed by technicians, vendors and contractors performing building maintenance, landscaping and janitorial work. Reviews work orders to ensure that assignments are completed.
  • Responsible for facilities inspections and reports.
  • Coordinates and manages moves, adds and change activities.
  • Obtains and reviews price quotes for the procurement of parts, services, and labor for projects.
  • Manages capital projects. Prepares capital project and operating budget and variance reports.
  • Manages vendor relationships and trains vendors on work order and billing procedures. Responsible for invoice processing and accuracy of cost center coding.
  • Uses pc and/or PDA for work order system, email, ESS and training.
  • Provides process and procedure training.
  • Conducts financial/business analysis including preparation of reports.
  • Assist in managing budget

  • Other duties may be assigned.
Must Haves:
  • Years’ Experience Required: 4+ years with prior supervisory industrial facilities experience
  • Education Requirements: Associates degree or Bachelor’s degree preferred with focus on business, technical or management areas.
  • Systems/Software Proficiencies: Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and intranet/internet. Ability to use work order system.
