What is the business objective/business purpose of project?
We are responsible for procuring, confirming mechanical and electrical specification, conducting machine tryouts, installing and trialing battery equipment to achieve key project KPIs of safety, quality, productivity and cost

Client’s Production Engineering Battery department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated CW Engineer to work in the Battery group. The primary responsibility of this position is to prepare, coordinate battery manufacturing equipment to support new model launches. This position will be located in Liberty, NC and report to the Engineering Manager for Battery.
The team frequently interacts with the plant side engineering, manufacturing, maintenance, process inspection and quality teams, as well as the building side construction environmental and facilities department.

Typical day to day tasks including; managing and updating project schedules, coordinating with machine supervisors, leading the installation and trial activity of new battery equipment

Other engineers in the department, project planning groups, general contractors, Japanese machine vendors, environmental, logistics
Requirements:
Qualifications:
  • Experience installing equipment/construction
  • Experience in manufacturing startups.
  • Excellent and respectful communication skills within their peer group and with all external group
  • A strong technical engineering mindset
