Title: EEDI Project Manager I Duration: Length of Contract: 2 months, with the possibility of extension Location: North Chicago, IL, 60064 Purpose Describe the primary goals, objectives or functions or outputs of this position. Responsible for leading project plans, coordinating and developing communications, and designing tasks and schedules that lead to optimal effectiveness of work for the Education and Leadership Development department. This includes biweekly review of projects and budget management and the development of presentations and communication materials. The position will collaborate with employees at all levels of the organization, across the globe, and outside vendors on key activities and milestones. Responsible for managing and maintaining files and other knowledge resources. Responsibilities List up to 10 main responsibilities for the job. Include information about the accountability and scope. • Accountable for meeting project objectives on schedule and within budget. Uses foresight to anticipate roadblocks before they occur. • Supports planning, coordination and development of learning initiatives, meetings and events, including material development and production • Provides supports for the management and coordination of external vendors • Aligns with cross functional partners early in the process to anticipate changes, effectively communicate and lead change management. • Supports the coordination of timely flow of information to ensure the broader department is well informed and applies insight to enhance communications plans • Leverages technology in innovative ways to anticipate or address department needs and increase effectiveness. • Evaluates strategic risks of business alternatives, recommends actions and develops strategies to cope with various scenarios. • Have a high degree of freedom to achieve these objectives and maintain constant communication/interaction with stakeholders to ensure quick responses and satisfactory outcomes.
Qualifications List required and preferred qualifications (up to 10). Include education, skills and experience. • Minimum of 2 years project management experience required. • Strong Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and SharePoint skills are required • Strong planning, execution, budget and project management skills. • Strong verbal and written communication skills. • Strong analytical, problem-solving and ability to conceptualize the organization, planning, and projects (envisioning through implementation). • Demonstrates initiative and creativity • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, global, and matrix environment • Strong interpersonal skills to quickly build rapport and credibility • Experience in learning and development and EEDI (Equity, Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion) preferred but not required
