Job Description

Job Summary
This individual contributor is responsible for developing strategic communication plans, creating executive-facing materials (e.g., PowerPoint, Word, articles, newsletters), and ensuring the successful execution of communication efforts for Enterprise Architecture (EA). The role also involves managing the EA Portal operations and communications strategy, including driving partner engagement within EA.

Essential Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of this role, in order of importance, include:

  • Coordinate EA newsletters and portal story publication, ensuring high-quality, professional messaging.
  • Act as the product owner for the EA Portal, gathering requirements from the EA team, documenting user stories, and prioritizing updates for SharePoint development resources. Make minor updates to the portal when needed.
  • Collaborate with EA Architects to edit executive-facing materials (e.g., PowerPoint presentations, Word narratives, articles) and ensure clear, persuasive messaging.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality document templates for executive use, reducing the effort required by architects to create deliverables.
  • Work with EA Architects to simplify complex topics into concise, impactful statements, ensuring clarity and precision in communication.
  • Foster self-development and promote learning by sharing resources, advice, and expertise; building relationships with cross-functional stakeholders; and providing feedback to enhance collaboration and growth.
  • Ensure successful implementation of communication strategies by consulting with stakeholders, assessing the effectiveness of communications, making necessary adjustments, and monitoring key performance indicators to meet deadlines and specifications.
  • Write, edit, and produce complex content for various communications programs and projects, ensuring final placement and distribution through internal and external channels, while maintaining brand consistency.
  • Manage projects by coordinating stakeholder communication, assigning team resources, consulting on project plans, and overseeing project schedules and resource forecasts.
  • Conduct communication activities, manage vendor relationships, and ensure alignment with organizational standards.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Humanities, Business, Social Science, or a related field, and a minimum of 5 years of experience in communications, writing, marketing, or a directly related field. An additional 3 years of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree, for a total of 8 years.
  • 2 years of professional experience in the development of digital or multimedia content.
  • 2 years of experience interacting with senior leadership (e.g., Director level and above).
  • 2 years of experience partnering with stakeholders in Fortune 500 companies or equivalent.
  • 2 years of experience in technical writing and communication.

Additional Requirements

  • Strong command of the English language, with the ability to produce high-impact, executive-facing written copy.
  • Understanding of technology concepts and trends, with the ability to work with EA's highly technical content.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a leadership role, with or without direct reports.
  • 3 years of professional experience in community management and social media content development.
  • 2 years of experience in establishing and documenting standards, guidelines, and best practices.
  • 2 years of experience in process improvement, process flowcharting, and robotic process automation (RPA).
  • Master’s degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Humanities, Business, Social Science, or a related field.
