Job Description

Title: Document Controller
Location: Durham, NC 27709
Duration: 06 Months (Contract-to-hire)
Hours: Monday-Friday 9-5pm

Description:
This role is an onsite role.
The primary responsibility for this role will be as a Document Controller with technical writing as a secondary responsibility.

Summary: This role will be supporting the management of the global Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) system, providing strategic consultation and technical expertise regarding processes and tools used for the document system lifecycle.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Route documents through electronic document management workflows.
  • Ensure review and approval cycles are completed.
  • In alignment with template requirements, will make minor edits to documents as requested.
  • Coordinate with cross functional team members to ensure document completion and approval timelines are achieved.
  • Provide technical expertise for SOP Management System functions as needed.
  • Coordinate and resolve issues related to the creation, revision and obsolescence of SOPs.
  • Coordinate cross-functional subject matter expert discussion for SOP, and support to necessary activities to satisfy local regulations and company requirements.
  • Through SOP related activities, contribute to staff's understanding of SOP.
  • Support changes resulting in quality and/or process improvements.

Skills:
  • Verbal and written communication skills, strong attention to detail, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage one's time.
  • Comfortable navigating multiple computer systems simultaneously to complete tasks.
  • Technical acumen and basic knowledge of computer software, such as MS Word, MS Excel, Adobe, databases, etc.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree required.
Prefer experience related to document control or SOP management but not required
