Project Overview
  • Looking for an IT Resiliency Team Controller
  • For the Technical Disaster Recovery team, who does large scale enterprise test events
  • This role sits in between their team and application owners, and business units
  • The reports generated from Power BI serve both internal stakeholders, such as application owners and business function owners, as well as executive leadership, encompassing internal process flows and strategic insights.
Skills and Requirements
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in project management, technical specialization, or senior business analysis.
  • Background in infrastructure, project management, and disaster recovery.
  • Preference for candidates from enterprise backgrounds, particularly Fortune 500 or large companies.
  • Strong technology infrastructure background, emphasizing service and system experience over development or programming.
  • Comprehensive experience across various infrastructure components, including storage, servers, and networking.
  • Knowledge of Service Now or Fusion is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Power Automate, Power BI, and Sharepoint Workflows is highly desirable.
  • Expertise in Power BI is prioritized over technology and project management skills.
  • Ability to manipulate data across Office 365 applications, Excel spreadsheets, and Sharepoint.
  • Understanding of application stack architecture is required.
  • Project management skills are beneficial, but primary focus on technology infrastructure and disaster recovery.
  • Experience in Power Automate development is a significant advantage.
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate day-to-day disaster recovery tests, including data collection from application owners.
  • Consolidate and analyze various data points, identifying inconsistencies and addressing them.
  • Generate reports for disaster recovery events.
  • Track and remediate risks identified during disaster recovery tests.
  • Maintain documentation for risks and issues arising from disaster recovery events.
  • Streamline IT resiliency component tracking through automation tools like Power Automate.
  • Develop dashboards to visualize process flows for leadership reporting.

  • Wants them to be direct, straight to the point answers
  • 50% technical, and some is evaluating communication, asking general questions, looking to make sure they understand the role
Project Overview / Contractor’s Role:
The IT Controller Specialist is a governance and risk remediation role that reports to the IT Resiliency organization. The IT Resiliency team manages the execution and oversight of the global Disaster Recovery program across multiple functions. This role will engage with many stakeholders across the business, technology, and other corporate function groups to manage Disaster Recovery Issue Remediation and Tracking.
The successful candidate will be responsible for working with Resiliency Coordinators and Engineers through analysis, execution of tests, as well as application and infrastructure teams to identify gaps in the recovery processes. The candidate will be responsible for data gathering, independently planning and executing specific reviews, identifying issues and underlying root-cause analysis, and communicating findings effectively.
 
Qualifications :
  • Understanding of Disaster Recovery testing and methodology.
  • Knowledge of Application criticality/assessment in an organization.
  • Practical experience in both technology infrastructure and application architecture.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years as a project manager, technical specialist, or senior business analyst operating at enterprise scale.
  • Advanced technical problem-solving skills.
  • Must have the ability to build relationships, proactively engaging teammates, business SMEs, product architects, and other software engineers to gain alignment and deliver on commitments.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
 Nice to Have:
  • Advanced proven experience in Power Automate, Power BI, and SharePoint workflows is a major plus.
  • Developed solutions using Microsoft Power Platform architecture or Power Apps (Canvas & Model-driven apps).
  • Automated business processes with Power Automate (Flow).
  • Created enhanced process workflows and transition data across multiple applications.
  • Created reports, build dashboards, integrate with ADO.
  • Experience in ServiceNow tool is a plus.
  • Experience with Fusion would be an advantage.
  • Financial or Regulatory domain experience a plus.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
Risk Remediation
  • Works with key stakeholders and engineers to identify and assess risks and their impacts on business processes through the planning and execution of DR test events.
  • Assists with the disaster recovery testing and post-test analysis. Conducts post-incident assessments, track lessons learned and remediation efforts including future enhancements.
  • Work closely with technical teams or subject matter experts to seek a path of remediation/closure from each risk/issue in this risk repository
  • Develops and maintains a risk register for defined issues, risks. Creates executive reports monthly to identify open/unaddressed issues.
  • Creates visualization dashboards and reports in Azure DevOps.
 Framework and Governance
  • Makes sure that the Recovery plans are complete and adhere to IT regulatory policies and service level objectives within Client.
  • Coordinates with application owners, Infrastructure SMEs, and stakeholders for data gathering and accuracy, and tracks items to closure.
  • Tracks and confirms that applications have participated in DR tests/activities as defined by client's policy.
  • Performs Gap Analysis for applications with respect to DR activities/plans.
