Title: Director of FP&A Location: Roswell, GA – onsite, 5 days/week
Direct Reports: FP&A Manager; will build team starting with an Analyst once the director is hired.
Role Overview: The Director of FP&A is responsible for leading the organization’s financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analytical functions. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution and serves as a key advisor to the CFO. The Director will work closely with the FP&A Manager to enhance reporting functionality, improve forecasting accuracy, and drive scalable financial processes.
Key Requirements:
Seasoned FP&A professional with experience building and scaling an FP&A function.
Comfortable hands-on execution while leading the team and partnering with leadership.
Will support monthly reporting, investor/board presentations, and acquisitional components.
Technical acumen: understands the end-to-end reporting picture, not just spreadsheets.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Financial Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting
Lead annual budgeting, long-range planning, and rolling forecast cycles.
Develop and maintain financial models for forecasting, scenario analysis, and strategic initiatives.
Monitor performance against budgets/forecasts; identify risks and opportunities.
Improve forecasting accuracy through enhanced processes, tools, and collaboration.
Strategic Analysis & Business Partnership
Provide insights and recommendations to executive leadership and business unit leaders.
Analyze profitability, cost drivers, pricing, and capital investments to support decision-making.
Strategic partner for segment and sales leaders on profitability and growth.
Support mergers, acquisitions, and integrations through financial analysis.
Develop dashboards and KPIs to track performance.
Leadership & Continuous Improvement
Lead and develop the FP&A team, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
Oversee management reporting and executive presentations.
Partner with Accounting for alignment between financial reporting and management analysis.
Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency, data quality, and scalability.
Education & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required; MBA preferred.
5–8 years progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or transaction advisory services.
Demonstrated experience leading and developing finance teams.
Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical skills.
Experience supporting M&A preferred.
Proficiency with ERP and BI systems (NetSuite, Power BI, or similar).
Advanced Excel and financial analysis tool proficiency.
Manufacturing, distribution, or chemical industry background preferred.

Additional Notes from HM:
FP&A Manager currently overextended; this role will help push items “over the 5-yard line.”
Candidate should have experience designing reporting for leadership/board review.
Role will leverage NetSuite, Excel, Power BI, and integration with Impact Point consulting.
PE-backed environment for 3+ years; director may move into VP of FP&A role in 12–24 months.
