Design & Delivery Consultant - Simulation Training
In addition to the responsibilities outlined below, this position is responsible for overseeing the inventory, operation, repair, and maintenance of both high and low-fidelity simulators and their associated equipment, supplies, and consumables. You will work closely with the department manager and nursing staff to ensure the Regional Simulation Center delivers timely and effective training programs. This includes ensuring compliance with guidelines from professional organizations (e.g., American Heart Association) to maintain curriculum accuracy. You will also coordinate the procurement and inventory of supplies, manage the repair and maintenance of equipment within budget constraints, review data collection systems for statistical analysis, and ensure accurate records are maintained for inventory, purchases, warranties, and repairs. The role also involves maintaining the safety and hospitality of the Regional Simulation Lab to meet Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements, staying informed about simulation theory and technological advances, and ensuring the website content is current and accurate according to web design policies and standards.
Autonomous Work Execution:

Ensure adherence to all procedures and policies while leveraging data and resources to support various projects. Review guidelines to ensure curriculum accuracy and troubleshoot issues as needed.
Training Development:
Identify training methods (e.g., e-learning, in-person, blended learning) and set objectives for educational modules. Contribute to revising training modules, reviewing supporting materials, and prioritizing short- and long-term learning goals. Research and recommend alternative training techniques, procedures, and methods.
Training Needs Assessment:
Conduct standard and non-standard needs assessments to gather information on training requirements or performance issues.
Training Effectiveness Monitoring:
Use foundational knowledge to measure the effectiveness of training programs and ensure they support business needs.
Project Management:
Develop, analyze, and execute both standard and non-standard project plans, including scope, schedules, interdependencies, and resource forecasting, to complete work assignments and support project completion.
Training Improvement:
Refine training and delivery methods by applying research on industry standards and best practices. Use insights from training/education programs to enhance stakeholder activities and promote personnel growth and development.
Training Delivery:
Deliver training programs (e.g., orientation, customer service, supervisory skills), leveraging adult learning principles to support learner comprehension. Analyze results from evaluations to assess the effectiveness of training and summarize findings. Serve as a trainer for both standard and non-standard training, using best practices across various modalities (e.g., virtual, in-person classroom).
