Job Description

The Default Specialist is responsible for maintaining and monitoring delinquent accounts of Main Street Renewal’s residents, following up on resident default occupancy and bounced or returned checks. Aspects of this position will include but not limited to, speaking to residents with outdated accounts, pushing to get payment of outstanding balances, posting payments to accounts, resolving customer billing issues, reducing accounts receivable delinquency, and verifying occupancy. The Default Specialist reports to the Default Supervisor.
Essential Functions
  • Reviewing resident delinquent accounts eligible for eviction.
  • Coordinate legal notice delivery via mail, email or required delivery method upon local municipality laws.
  • Manage multiple portfolios of default cases and ensure their completion and status to given KPI’s.
  • Communicate with local attorneys to ensure a collaborative working environment and expedite the default process.
  • Communicate and collaborate with local branch representatives regarding payments and resident options.
  • Post any legal or related chargebacks to the resident’s ledger in the designated resident database.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
