  • Db2 maintenance
  • Migration to newer versions of Db2

Nice To Have: CA Tools, High Availability, Replication (change data capture), IDAA

Day to Day:
  • There is not really a typical day as that can change if there are system issues which this individual would participate in to determine if the Impact is within Db2 and if so determining the resolution.
  • When there are not system issues, time is spent of reviewing hold data for maintenance updates and/or migration to a newer version of Db2.

NOT Looking For:
  • We are not looking for someone who is just a Db2 programmer. Many programmers list themselves as system programmers but they are referring to application systems.
  • We are looking for a person who actually maintains the Db2 software itself. Not the programs that use Db2
About The Team: Team consists of 4 System Programmers. 2 senior and 2 intermediate in skills. We install maintenance releases to Db2 software. We are currently looking to migrate to the next full version of Db2. We support an IDAA device. We also get involved in application pilots that require Db2 support. Our team is a very close knit team that helps each other out as needed. We have on call for after hours and also do maintenance about 1 Sunday each month.
