Job Title:Data Center Compliance Specialist IV Duration: 12 months Location: Remote (EST Only as they will be working with US and UK/Ireland partners) Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Center Compliance Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support and consultation to Data Center teams who are contributing to client’s SOX, ISO27001, ISO27018, SOC2, PCI and Privacy compliance amongst others. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of the compliance landscape and obligations across the Client Data Center environment.
Must-Have Skills:
Industrial compliance experience; more of manufacturing
Out of the box thinker, needs to be able to use framework and then build security and processes around it
Security cyber experience; needs to be able to influence.
Nice-to-have Skills:
ISO 9000 – quality management or ISO 27000
Years of overall experience required:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in data center operations, information security, or related field; additional experience can be used in lieu of education.
Degrees/certifications required:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field
Key Responsibilities:
Develop a thorough understanding of the compliance landscape and obligations across the Client Data Center environment.
Provide support and consultation to Data Center teams who are contributing to Client’s SOX, ISO27001, ISO27018, SOC2, PCI and Privacy compliance amongst others.
Provide support for teams who are establishing or maintaining the control environment that will meet the requirements of policy, certification, and regulatory requirements.
Provide consultancy and compliance solutions to Data Center Teams as required to ensure that their compliance initiatives are successful.
Liaise with partners to support 1st, 2nd & 3rd party audits, ensuring that scope, planning and criteria for assessment are agreed on behalf of Auditor and Auditee.
Assist Data Center teams in risk management processes that provide input into compliance activities.
Provide support to Data Center teams through ongoing training and awareness activities of regulatory compliance requirements in their area Provide compliance consultancy to business owners who are embarking on technical and scaling projects that could impact their compliant status.
Complete periodic control validations as required to maintain compliance across SOX, ISO27001, ISO27018 and PCI.
Contribute to the development of the IDC Compliance Services operating model and compliance management framework development.
Execute periodic control effectiveness checks & verifications as required (SOX, SOC2, ISO 27001).
Contribute to the development of the IDC Compliance Services Team as it builds towards a service driven compliance model.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in data center operations, information security, or related field.
Strong knowledge of industry standards and regulations such as SOX, ISO27001, ISO27018, SOC2, PCI and Privacy Experience in risk management and compliance.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy under pressure.
Surrounding team & key projects:
Data Center will be a huge focus to audit the robotics team on how they perceive what a robot does. Helping teams become audit-ready and be able to identify additional projects. There will be a bit of high-level items they will oversee but step in where needed on hands-on work.
What makes this role interesting?
This role is hackier and more colorful than a typical compliance role that would be black and white. Meeting with pentagon on regulations, etc., so this role has a high-level exposure.
