Job Description:
Job Title: Data Architect IV
Location: Remote
Duration: 06+ Months
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • API Integration with AWS services for tools such as Asana, ELM, and Sphera to enable seamless data transfer and communication.
  • Design, configure and implement robust API architectures to ensure reliability, scalability, and security.
  • Design, configure and implement data lake formation strategies leveraging AWS services.
  • Develop processes to ingest and move existing data sources (such as SIPP, Excel, etc.) into a single database (e.g., Client’s Redshift).
  • Create sustainable ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) jobs to manage different data sources and changes to data.
  • Automate AWS Glue jobs to trigger when new files are added to S3 or when new data is ingested via APIs into the data lake.
  • Connect Quicksight dashboards to the new data lake/database, replacing existing data sources.
  • Optimize existing dashboards for performance and usability.
  • Explore methods for implementing Single Sign-On (SSO) that are based on permission teams/AWS IAM roles to address current SSO issues.
 
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years’ experience as a Solutions Architect or similar role.
  • Expertise in integrating APIs with AWS services.
  • Strong understanding of data lake architectures and experience with AWS data services (e.g., Redshift, Glue, S3).
  • Proficiency in Extract, transform, load (ETL) tools and processes.
  • Experience with data visualization tools, preferably Client’s Quicksight.
  • Solid understanding of identity and access management (IAM) concepts and AWS IAM roles.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect preferred.
  • Team: very diverse. Work ebbs and flows – huge sticklers on work/life balance. Very open to communication on how their work is.
  • Major projects: new team been around a year and a half, set up AWS account, running analytics, initiative is to look at AWS, understanding and zone in on what they need to get out of it, optimizing resources. Need someone who understands data bases, to see data analysis, the ability to be flexible within the chaos going on the role.
  • Lots of exposure to different supplier data – being able to work with a team that drives the forefront in security data.
  • Chance to work with largest cloud systems in AWS – Resume builder
  • Devices organization (security engineer within ring, blink devices, and being first hand involved in those processes)
  • As a team it is new industry wide that this program is trying to solve.
  • A lot of collaboration within their team and other teams within data tooling site. Trying to raise the bar within multiple teams.
 
Candidate Requirements
  • Leadership principle:  invent and simplify, learn and be curious, deep dive, earning trust, delivering results
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years’ experience as a Solutions Architect or similar role.
  • Data engineer/analytics
 
Must Haves:
  • API Integrations – configuration is key
  • AWS glue data
  • Data Lake formation and management
