Job Description

Job Title: Data Analyst III (w/possible Flexera knowledge)
Location: Remote
Duration: 6 months (Contract to Hire)
Hours: 7:00am – 4:00PM or 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Time Zone_ FLEXIBLE depending upon location)
 
Schedule: MonFri
 
Summary:
  • This particular Data Analyst will be responsible for maintaining and improving both internal operational team and enterprise-wide customers reporting and analysis needs. This may include, but not limited to, building key performance reporting for software ordering, improving and maintaining Flexera tool health reports and analysis methods.
  • In addition, they’re looking for the ability to develop executive dashboards and actionable reports that will be developed using automated data exports, APIs and visualization tools such as Power BI.
 
Day to day responsibilities:
  • Data extraction and data management
  • Running established reports per monthly & report out
  • Create custom build reports for dashboards for users
  • Problem solving data quality issues.
  • Take a deep dive and learn the tool, Flexera (Maximize getting data out of this tool, as there is so much potential)
 
Top must-have required technical skills:
  • Intermediate to advanced data programming skills, such as SQL, SAS, API, Tableau, Power BI, ETL/Data Transformation (Having these skills are required to be successful in this role)
  • Intermediate computer skills including MS Office with advanced skills in Excel with knowledge of spreadsheet functionality including v-look-up, pivot tables, charts, graphing and macros.
  • Knowledge & Experience with the tool, Flexera
 
Soft Skills:
  • Proven aptitude for learning and using data analysis reporting tools.
  • Strong collaboration and relationship building skills.
  • High learning agility, to assimilate a tool (aka Flexera) to maximize data reporting capabilities for a varied customer base
  • Innovative and creative, to streamline existing operational reporting and offer/execute solutions for improvements
  • Ability to work independently across various roles to define requirements and build reporting/dashboard solutions which provide insight into Software Asset & Cost Data
 
Resume Standouts:
  • Knowledge of Software Asset Management concepts, terminology, industry practices, and tools
 
Degrees or certifications required/Years of overall experience required:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative field of study and a minimum of 3 years analytical work experience.
  • In lieu of a quantitative degree, a bachelor's degree or higher and a minimum of 5 years of analytical work experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 6 years of analytical/BI development work experience.
