Job Description

Job Title: Customer Service Support (Mail Coordinator)
Duration: 03+ months
Location: Torrance, CA, (90501)

  • Receive, sort, and deliver all incoming mail & packages according to assigned campus floors and within established time frames.
  • Wrap, seal, weigh, affix postage and dispatch all outgoing mail/packages in accordance with postal regulations.
  • Prepare special outgoing mail/packages to client affiliates as scheduled (if applicable).
  • Package and process outgoing overnight packages USPS, FedEx etc., to meet client deadlines.
  • Prepare and package outgoing items for shipping.
  • Assist in all areas but would be dedicated to a role of providing coverage within the Media Center.
  • Maybe asked to assist in bindery, shipping/receiving, fulfillment, and other areas within the department.
  • Additional duties as assigned by the leads/supervisors.
  • Ensures total customer satisfaction through understanding of customers’ expectations, proactive problem resolution and maximizing opportunities to build relationships
  • High School Diploma or comparable work experience.
  • 1-2 years’ experience working in a mailroom or professional office environment.

  • Basic knowledge of metering, weighing, and other shipping procedures.
  • Ability to execute and deliver the highest quality and production customer service.
  • Must be a team player, go-getter, willing to learn new things/tasks and be flexible in their day-to-day activities.
  • Excellent customer service skills, professional attitude, and appearance a must.
  • Good communication skills, written, read, and verbal.
  • Ability to prioritize and work with co-workers, supervisors, and customers.
  • Ability to resolve customer issues and take responsibility for work performance.
  • Proven ability to remain calm under pressure, good work ethic, sound judgement with good problem-solving skills.
  • Must have clean Driving Record.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.

Physical Demands:
  • May occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Physical activity required includes bending, reaching, lifting, and prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
