Job Description

Job Title: Custom Product Project Manager
Duration: 6 months with potential for extension Hybrid schedule (Tues-Thurs onsite)
Location: Culver City, CA 90232
 
Overview
Customs are a fundamental pillar within the Beats brand. They give department a platform to talk about our current technology on a consistent basis. They help connect department to culture, reach new audiences and strengthen our relationships with other brands and talent.
In this role, your focus will be to manage the development and creation of Custom products. You are curious, proactive, organized, flexible and a solution-driven problem solver. You are also fair, kind and collaborative. You will work cross-functionally with the relationship holders, talent, design, brand marketing, PR, legal & external vendors to ensure the success of each Custom program. You will assist the team across logistics,
finance & data analysis. This work will result in the creation of Custom products made with some of the most culturally relevant entities in the world.
 
Responsibilities
• Project Management - Customs tend to have short timelines. It’s important to have a strong work ethic, efficient time management & project management skills.
• Briefing Creatives – Work with the Marketing team and our external partners to align on a creative brief that can be shared with the Beats design team.
• Product Development - Once a design has been approved by all key stakeholders; work with the internal design team and external vendors to develop and produce the product.
• Packaging Development - Once a hardware design has been approved by all key stakeholders; work with design to develop the packaging.
• Managing Internal Stakeholders – The successful completion of a Customs program requires the assistance of all internal departments. It is imperative for the candidate to be able to manage internal stakeholders throughout the entire program.
• Legal – Work with relationship holders, our partners and the Client’s legal team to ensure that all product/packaging aspects adhere to Client’s legal requirements.
• Seeding - Work with the partner and internal stakeholders to oversee and execute a successful seeding strategy.
• Logistics - In addition to developing the Custom products, it is necessary to deliver the final products on time. The candidate will need to work closely with our relationship holders and program coordinator, and become an expert in local and international courier / shipping vendors and processes and be comfortable with packing and
shipping product.
• Budget Management - Work with the Customs and Drops Budget Manager to align and manage the budget for programs.
• EMV & Data Management – Assist in evaluating the success of the Custom programs through compiling all necessary data and evaluating it against our set KPIs.
 
Qualifications
• 4+ years of Marketing experience
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required, MBA preferred
• Project management experience preferred
• Highly adaptive, able to identify issues and proactively problem solve.
• An agile self-starter, results oriented and work through ambiguity.
• Drive execution, foster innovation and collaborate well with others.
• Demonstrated ability to understand and manage design files within the Adobe suite.
• Develop actionable steps that will improve processes and optimize results.
• Ability to effectively communicate (written and oral) with global stakeholders and with all cross functional contacts (internal and external).
• Ability to understand complex projects and can quickly learn about new processes and solutions to manage their implementation.
• Ability to maintain momentum on a project with excellent attention to detail from inception to completion.
• Ability to juggle multiple projects within a fast-paced environment and change priorities rapidly as required by the business.
• Hungry and curious - constantly bringing new insights, ideas and opportunities to the brand.
