Job Description

Job Title- Copy Editor | Level II
Location- Open on onsite, hybrid, and remote
Duration- 3 months
Shift: Part time role – 5hrs per weeks - flexible with the schedule of hours
Pay starts: $22/HR on W2
 
Description:
Need assistance writing and editing content that will be used to promote claim services and support marketing efforts. Candidate must have the ability to create written pieces that are clear, concise, and engaging for relevant audiences.
 
Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Ability to proofread and edit documents for correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, and usage.
  • Works on projects at all stages of the editing and production process.
  • Utilizes language, problem-solving, and research skills when copyediting manuscripts; understands the difference between mechanical and substantive editing.
  • Consolidates edits, queries, suggestions, and corrections from multiple sources clearly and succinctly.
  • Compiles clear and unambiguous manuscript materials for production.
  • Routes manuscripts /pages according to project schedules.
  • May provide training and supervision for Copyeditors I Proofreaders.
 Education & Experience:
  • Has BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience and has at least one years’ experience in Proofreading, Style Editing, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
  • Posesses excellent knowledge of English grammar, style, and usage, and has superior communication and organizational skills required.
  • 3 years experience, Preferably someone with insurance copywriting experience, more on the service side vs sales.
  • 5 hours per week--flexible with the schedule of hours
