Job Title: Contracts and VM Analyst Duration: 12 months Location: 100% remote Shift: 8-5 PM EST, M-F (Some flexibility)
Position Summary: The Contract and Vendor Management Analyst is responsible for creating and reviewing contract terms and conditions with Contract Negotiators and customers, typically less than $200,000 in the Company's spend on goods and services. Ensures that all negotiated deals are properly managed through contract execution. Collaborates with others to drive vendor performance and determine what capabilities and product offerings meet the needs of the business.
Top must-have skills / Candidate Requirements:
Knowledge and understanding of licensing contract (not negotiating experience, but reading and understanding it)
MS Office (Intermediate level of Excel - filter data; Outlook, Teams
Coupa- nice, but not required
Organizational skills and ability to work on multiple projects and/or assignment simultaneously
Excellent Written
Great time management
Basic understanding of negotiating software (1-2 years' experience with negotiating)
Must have Customer Focus
Someone who can worked in an environment with high complexity, so they feel comfortable with the tasks outside of the negotiating part of the role
Nice to have:
Experience with Coupa
Enterprise experience _ does not have to be industry related
Day to Day Responsibilities:
This contractor will be working on smaller deals (under $100K), but at high volume
Working independently with the internal teams: risk and legal team
Renewals
Prescriptions of existing contracts
Creating requisitions in COUPA
Updates of systems of records, cleaning it up, maintaining records well
Attend meetings and work through challenges to find resolutions
Updates of portfolios and making sure records are clean
Attend Standups
Not a lot of face-to-face interaction with suppliers, but in email communication will be great
Multitask in all phases

Software and contractor license experience (not negotiate, but read it and understand it)
Degrees or certifications required/Years of overall experience required:
Bachelor's Degree in a business or related discipline (e.g., Business Management) and a minimum of two years of experience in business, sourcing and/or developing and maintaining vendor relationships.
In lieu of a degree, a minimum of four years related work experience in business, sourcing and/or developing and maintaining vendor relationships may be accepted.
Training
2-4wks training- onboarding 2wks and then mentoring (working with jenny smith).

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Develops and maintains relationships with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., vendors, business and platforms)
Manages and monitors vendor performance per contract agreements
Assists in the development of SLAs and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for inclusion in contract negotiations.
Assists with continuous improvement activities in vendor performance against appropriate SLAs and KPIs.
Participates in meetings between vendors and Company stakeholders (e.g., gathering requirements, identifying solutions, vendor performance)
Functions as the point of contact for contract and vendor service issues from business partners and assigned vendors
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Technical aptitude and the ability to analyze requirements to determine the appropriate vendor to deliver business needs.
Ability to manage and maintain vendor relationships.
Knowledge of software asset management terms and concepts.
Analysis and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data from various sources to determine next steps.
Organizational skills and ability to work on multiple projects and or assignment simultaneously.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
Typical office environment requiring the use of typical office equipment e.g., computers, phones, etc.
Computer keyboarding, computer monitor and mouse use including reaching forward, grasping, finger and wrist manipulation, and neck bending and turning near vision is necessary for computer monitor use.
If working in an Emerging Workspace, or similar working arrangement, lifting of laptop equipment, files and or personal belongings weighing 10 lbs. or less is required.
May require long periods of sitting.
May require prolonged repetitive use of the upper extremities.
