Job Description

Job Title: Containerization Engineer
Duration: 6 Months
Location: Lexington MA (REMOTE)

Job Summary:
  • We are looking for a Containerization Engineer on a contract basis to develop Docker containers compatible with Kubernetes, aimed at facilitating portable data engineering workflows.
  • The engineer will be tasked with creating containers that can reliably connect to various data sources while addressing challenges such as OS dependencies, database driver integration, and authentication.
  • The role requires a focus on practical solutions and the ability to ensure that the containers work seamlessly within a Kubernetes environment.
  • The successful candidate will employ configuration management and test-driven development to build and maintain our container infrastructure.
  • You'll be responsible for writing clean and maintainable Dockerfiles, Helm charts, and Kubernetes manifests, and setting up CI/CD pipelines to automate the build and deployment process.
  • You will be tasked with creating pipelines that automate testing, integration, and deployment processes for our data products, ensuring that all components are validated against meticulously constructed test datasets.
  • Collaboration with other team members to understand data requirements and translate them into technical implementations is also a key part of this role.
  • Applicants should have a solid background in containerization technologies and be ready to tackle complex technical issues in a dynamic setting.
 
Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience required
  • Appropriate years of related experience
