Job Description: Project Overview: Public website group...moving from Pivotal Cloud Foundry ....moving to Azure Public Cloud for Microservices Infrastructure.
Qualifications (must haves):
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
Three to Five (3-5) years of professional experience in technology or a related field
Two to Three (2-3) years of professional experience with architecture-related concepts
Two to Three (2-3) years of professional experience with Azure Cloud Computing
Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success as a team leader, including:
Experience in architecting and designing technical solutions for Microsoft-centric solutions based on industry standards using any Azure IaaS, PaaS and SaaS capabilities.
Ability to provide best practice guidance on the architectural design across multiple applications and projects of the enterprise
Experience using Terraform to implement IaaC
Demonstrable experience providing engineered IT solutions to large programs
Ability to translate technical solutions into layman terms for delivery to audiences with varying technical ability
IT systems design and development
Experience with Github Actions to implement CI/CD
Experience operating in both agile and waterfall development environments
Being a thought leader by staying abreast of current and emerging cloud technologies and industry trends
Strong knowledge of security components like Kerberos, SSL, and Encryption using TDE
Knowledge of Azure Security, Data Management and Governance, Metadata Management
Azure Devops exposure
Experience moving existing applications into the public cloud (Azure)
Tasks & Responsibilities:
Works with the technical leadership team to define a technical architecture for PWS Cloud Public Architecture
Highly flexible and adaptable to change
Ensures the realization of the desired business outcome by implementing solutions and tracking those through to final development
Exercises judgement based on the analysis of multiple sources of information
Serves as objective escalation point for conflicts during the development process
Mentors the team as needed to remove impediments, achieve project goals and grow less experience team members
Provide solutions to complex problems
Carries out the most complex initiatives involving multiple disciplines and strategic execution
Define best practices and development guidelines and ensures the team is aligned to those standards
Exhibits strong oral and written communication skills.
