Job Description

Position: Calibration Specialist
Location: Seattle, WA (On-site)
Duration:  12 months (Possible extension)


Description:
We are seeking a Mid-Level Metrology & Calibration Specialist to join our team. As a calibration technician, you will have an important and exciting role in the company that includes the calibration of various Measurement and Test Equipment, and development of procedures for test equipment. Client has a diverse metrology parameters such as precision dimensional and optical, precision mass, temperature-humidity, pressure, flow and force. You will tackle new and challenging problems every day. You will be
supporting military and commercial programs.

This role will be responsible for providing products and services that meet the highest technical and quality standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies and processes and embrace first-time quality as a way of life – not accepting, creating or passing any defects and speaking up.

This position is for 1st shift; however, various shifts, nights, weekends, and alternate shifts may be required to support program objectives.

Position Responsibilities:
• Supports activities to plan, conduct and document tests
• Designs systems, materials, components, software and methodologies to meet customer requirements
• Supports the coordination of test requirements and assists in reviewing test methods and capabilities
• Conducts routine tests, analyzes data and documents results
• Troubleshoots and recommends resolution of laboratory and test-related problems
• Works under general supervision

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
• 3+ years of experience in Metrology and/or measurement science
• Experience with Electrical Test Equipment Calibration and Certification processes

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
• Certified Calibration Technician (CCT)
• Experience in the aerospace industry
• PMEL (Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory) experience
• Experience with Labview, C++, and Access
• Experience writing and configuring automated software and hardware tests

Typical Education/Experience:
• AA degree in related discipline and typically 3 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
