Role: Business Systems Analyst/ Project Manager Location: Remote (PST working hours) Duration: 12 Months Contract
Job Summary: The individual in this role will be working with a group of strong engineers who are at their best when working collaboratively both within and outside the team. They collectively strive to build best-of-breed solutions for a company with a vision to imagine, design and create a better world. Experience Level: 3-5 years.
Responsibilities
As the System Analyst, you will work with the Engineering team and Product Management to design and deliver functionality. This involves being able to look at the various systems, understand their interactions and boil the Business requirements down to Technical requirements.
You will succeed if you have a QA technical background to be able to develop data models and understand APIs
In the buildout of APIs, you will help define the input & payload needs to connect O2P to other systems; In the web application, you will help translate requirements on wireframes to Technical Requirements. Ability to translate requirements to various use cases is a key part of the role.
You will conduct functional testing of the features developed to ensure that requirements are met
As the Project manager, you will own the team’s system of record in JIRA and maintain Epics.
You will lead the team in its various scrum ceremonies
You will collaborate with internal business users and boundary system teams (i.e., teams downstream from O2P) from Requirements to Testing; In addition, you will collaborate with the team’s Architect to close open questions on functionality and design
You will work closely with team members to answer questions and track work
Qualifications
This is a leadership role and you have led projects in the roles of a Business Systems Analyst and a Project Manager
You have a technical background and have worked with Database modeling and APIs; It is a nice to have if you have experience with AWS.
You have experience with Agile and an Issue Project tracking software like JIRA; You can lead the team through the various scrum ceremonies
You have the experience to take ownership of the team’s release plan and can work with the various squads on the team to keep information organized; You can help with planning and release management.
You are very collaborative and have experience leading teams (informally) and keeping them working well together
You look to the future and stay a few steps ahead of the engineering team and pull information; You can work with various audiences
You have supported a product through its lifecycle – Answer questions, Take functionality requests, Maintain strong documentation etc.
