Position Title: Business System Analyst
Duration: 5 - 6 Months possible extension
Location:  North Chicago, Illinois 60064 (Hybrid/ Remote)


Job Description
  • The Associate Business Systems Consultant for Office of Ethics and Compliance (OEC) will be the point of contact between the BTS and OEC business teams to deliver technology solutions. Will partner with business team to formulate an IT solution for a business problem.
  • Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Meet with customers to gather requirements for new systems/interfaces or enhancements to existing systems and translate them into solutions partnering with technical teams, vendors, or consultants
  • Translate business requirements into functional requirements. 
  • Analyze impact of changes.
  • Investigate alternatives, which use existing applications and make recommendations.
  • Execute system testing to validate the rollout of new functionality
  • Support business with UAT
  • Support upgrades, enhancements, testing, validation, and overall performance of systems; analyze software releases to assess impact of new features.
  • Provide technical support and serve as a subject matter expert in all areas for OEC Solutions teams and related systems
  • Provide training to educate system end users on how to navigate and use the system as needed
  • Identify risks/issues and propose mitigation.
  • Keep IT managers aware of user issues and resolve conflicts 
  • Oversee Application Support Issue resolution, decommission activities, post data archival partnering with Managed Service Providers
  • Lead periodic meetings with projects stakeholders to review status and provide updates.
  • Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.
Basic Qualifications:
  • B.S. degree in Business, Human Resources, Information Systems, Computer Science or related area
  • 8+ years’ experience in lead business analyst/solution architect role partnering with stakeholders to understand business requirements, program needs, and demonstrated ability to translate those into realistic and innovative technology and process solutions
  • Strong experience with SLC process and documentation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint to present Solution Options to business
  • Ability to learn technology quickly through instruction and self-training
  • Ability to multi-task, work in diverse, fast paced environment and effectively collaborate across teams with great attention to detail
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal as well as verbal and written communication skills
  • Capable to lead end-to-end projects
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Project management experience is a plus
  • 8+ Years of experience/education and/or certifcations required
