Job Title: Business/Technical Analyst Duration: 6+ months Location: Atlanta, GA
Job Summary The Business/Technical Analyst role focuses on driving requirements analysis, solution design, and process optimization within the Cable and Telecommunications domain, specifically supporting communication-related systems, workflows, and operational models. The candidate will work in a hybrid environment during day shifts, leveraging deep industry knowledge to translate business needs into technical specifications and ensure seamless delivery of cable related initiatives across provisioning, billing, network operations, and customer experience platforms.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document requirements for cable related initiatives.
Translate business needs into detailed functional and technical specifications for development teams.
Support client specific operational workflows including provisioning, activation, billing, and service assurance.
Conduct end to end process analysis to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
Work closely with architects and developers to ensure solutions align with cable industry standards and organizational goals.
Perform data analysis and validation using SQL to support decision making and requirement accuracy.
Develop user stories, acceptance criteria, and maintain product backlogs in Agile environments.
Facilitate cross functional meetings, requirement walkthroughs, and technical discussions.
Support UAT planning, test case review, and defect triage to ensure high quality delivery.
Maintain documentation including BRDs, FRDs, process flows, and system interaction diagrams.
Ensure compliance with cable best practices and operational guidelines.
Provide subject matter expertise on communication or cable industry systems to guide project teams.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Business Analyst or Technical Analyst in the Cable industry
Strong understanding of cable workflows, provisioning, billing, and service assurance
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skills
Ability to work in hybrid and cross functional environments
Experience with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira, Confluence
Experience: 10+ Yrs
Required Skills
Strong experience in Cable domain, preferably with Communications systems, processes, or data models
Expertise in business requirements gathering, process mapping, gap analysis, and functional documentation
Hands on experience with OSS/BSS systems (e.g., provisioning, activation, billing, service assurance)
Ability to translate business needs into technical specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria
Strong analytical and problem solving skills with ability to interpret complex cable industry data
Proficiency in SQL for data validation and analysis
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience with communication specific platforms
Exposure to API analysis, system integrations, and microservices
Familiarity with customer facing cable workflows (installations, trouble tickets, service changes)
Experience with reporting tools like Tableau, Power BI
