Job Title: Business Information Management Analyst V
Duration: 12 months (possibility of extension & conversion)
Schedule: Hybrid (2 or 3 days a week)
Location: Toronto, ON

Job Description
The Financial Risk organization continues its multi-year journey, enhancing its data and technology landscape towards a cohesive target state. The Business Information Management Analyst plays on the Strategy and Enablement team plays a key role in helping Risk Management achieve its data and technology vision, strategy and objectives. The Team is focused on enhancing Risk Management capabilities, simplifying data processes, rendering data-driven business intelligence with multi-dimensional views across products, businesses, locations, and organizational structures more effectively to enable decision makers with advanced insights and risk trends.

Business Job Requirements:
• Strong understanding of Financial Services industry and Risk Management practices.
• Strong understanding of credit risk and market risk data domains, reference data including complex client structures and hierarchies
• Strong business analysis skills, including the ability to lead the requirements gathering process with on
• Document business requirements; define scope and objectives towards overall business strategies.
• The candidate will be working heavily with data sets across multiple domains to assess, analyze, gather and document requirements to support the initiatives
• Interpret, evaluate and interrelate data and develop integrated business analyses for incorporation into strategic decision-making.
• Understand concepts around risk management including credit risk (retail and non-retail), internal and external reporting.
• Assess Business needs; identifies opportunities for standardization, optimization, and scalability within Risk. Works with Business to accomplish process reengineering.
• Partner with Risk Management, Lines of Businesses and Technology stakeholders to define business needs, support business validation, data analysis and integration activities.
• Identifying assumptions, constraints, dependencies, and risks, developing, and executing plans for their mitigation as possible and appropriate.
• Develops and executes communication and change management plans for key stakeholders.
• Provide project updates to Risk Leadership on strategic initiatives and manage benefits deployment.
• Support the Risk Data Factory aimed at centralizing and curating data on Azure cloud for consumption by Risk reporting and analytics teams.
• Interpret regulatory reporting requirements, translate them to data requirements, and assist in sourcing data, designing reporting solutions and delivering the product to the business.

Technical Job Requirements:
• Superior knowledge of Project Methodology (including Waterfall and Agile) and demonstrates advanced skills in all aspects of PDLC/SDLC.
• Understanding of project delivery practices and standards.
• Demonstrated strong business acumen and problem solving skills used to develop innovative solutions with team, working groups, partners, and other Business Operating Lines.
• The role requires proactivity, attention to detail, disciplined documentation and superior organizational and communication skills as well as a strong proponent of change management.
• The role requires deep analytical skills and ability to determine data patterns in order to assess and document appropriate business requirements
• Ability to remain flexible with shifting priorities and to function under tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Ability to prioritize and highly committed to meeting deadlines.
• Ability to assess high level concepts and break them down into manageable components for delivery.
• Ability to engage effectively with cross-functional stakeholders, business units and technology teams.
• Develop and deliver MS PowerPoint presentations / communications / status updates /recommendations to management or broader audience; including Executives.

Must Have :
• Prior working experience leading change initiatives impacting multiple stakeholders and processes, utilizing waterfall and agile project methodologies
• Experience in Banking and Financial services with leading organizations in core banking / Capital Markets or consulting services.
• Detailed understanding of data operationalization, use and application of business rules and business process engineering
• Work experience as a data/business analyst, supporting initiatives for data integrity and normalization.
• Strong understanding of reference data sets
Strong understanding of Financial Services industry and Risk Management practices.
• Strong understanding of credit risk and market risk data domains, reference data including complex client structures and hierarchies
• Strong understanding of MS Office products and Visio.
• SQL Server skills required.
• Bachelor's degree required
• 10 years of experience required

Soft Skills:
• Detail oriented, analytical and a strategic thinker.
• Strong research capabilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong Technical aptitude; working knowledge of end user tools such as Alteryx, Power BI
• Strong organizational, follow-up and priority-setting skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects and to work independently in a fast paced and dynamic work environment.
• Ability to collaborate effectively and work as part of a team

Nice to have:
•  Significant knowledge of business activities such as lending, trading, risk mitigation, banking books, and collateral management across retail and non-retail segments considered an asset.
• Experience with Azure Services, Databricks, Synapse, Unity Catalogue considered an asset.
• MBA or other related advanced degree preferred.
